    1. My son loves Cat in the Hat book and this was no exception. I even learned a few things while reading it that I didn't know about the Poles.

    2. Great that they're starting to introduce climate change to kids, but as for trying to mimic Dr. Seuss, it wasn't on the mark.

    3. This book is not written by Dr. Seuss but it still stays true to a Dr.Seuss book. This book discusses the north and south poles. It explains the weather, the climate, and the animals in the south/north poles. This is a fantastic book to use for science and it's an exciting book.

    4. Written by Bonnie Worth and brilliantly and vividly illustrated by Aristides Ruiz and Joe Mathieu ‘Ice is Nice!’ is a fun, although informing story about the North and South Poles. Once again the Cat in the Hat is on another adventure travelling in the SS Ice Chopper to the North and South Poles and the first stop is the North Pole. While there we learn that the North Pole is found in the water of the Arctic Ocean and that native people who live in the North Pole are just like you and me. In [...]

    5. This book uses rhymes and fun pictures to teach about what the weather is like at the North and South Poles. It describes the climate, animals, climate change, and how animals must adapt to live there. It provides a lot of information in a fun and engaging format! This book would provide children with a lot of information on North/South Pole weather, animals, and how climate change affects both those things.

    6. When I first saw this book, I was like yay Dr. Seuss! But then I released that it wasn't written by him at all, they've just used The Cat In The Hat. This is a nice way to introduce children to the North and South pole. There is a sing along style to the book, although it sometimes misses it's mark and dosen't sound right. I even learned that Polar bears have hollow hairs! Who knew? I like the pictures in the book and I think my niece will to :)

    7. This book is loaded with tons of information on the polar caps, penguins, bears, cultures, and information on why we have seasons here on earth. This book is very informational but also follows the picture book theme making it a good read. This book would also be good to use in the classroom because it uses rhyming which helps students practice fluency.

    8. This book is a great rhyming book and also has good information about the North and South Poles. It tells us things such as Polar Bears have hollow hairs in order to trap heat. This would be a good story for teaching about the poles in social studies or even animals and where they live. This could also be used to teach about the environment.

    9. I thought this was an extremely cute book. I think it would be good to use for a Social Studies lesson. You could use this book to teach a geography lesson no the North and South Pole. It would also be great to integrate with literacy since this book contains a lot of rhyming words.

    10. This is a fun book in the Cat in the Hat's Learning Library. It is informative and describes the differences between the two poles. The illustrations are fun and it's a good book to read aloud with children.

    11. I love this series for beginning non-fiction readers. All of the familiar Dr. Suess characters are a part of this book and introduce facts in a fun way! A glossary is included at the end of the book as well as an index. This will be great to use for unit studies or reports.

    12. Read to me by the K5 AppleBlossom. A great supplemental book to Memoria Press First Grade Week 17 I believe to go along with Snowflake Bentley.

    13. Gentle introduction to the artic regions as well as information about climate change. The illustrations are very cute.

    14. The cat in the hat visits the north & south poles.Rhyming wordsSilly & funny illustrations.Science: weather, climateA fun way to learn about the north & south poles.
