    1. Anne Gédéon LaFitte, Marquis de Pelleport wrote a twice=BURIED book, title of The Bohemians. First, the French Revolution BURIED it ; written in 1788, published in 1790, and totally de=topic'd and old=hat'ed by 1789. Then, again, repeat replay in 2013 Mr Steven Moore passes over its unnoticed existence in his second volume of The Novel ; which, really, given the circumstances is pretty understandable. Now we have that fabulous SpADe=WiELding game we can play --;; too wit, which Big Fat Brainy [...]

    2. This eighteenth-century French Libertine novel is an exceptional piece of work for it's age & the manner in which Pelleport wrote the book while imprisoned. Reminded me of a piece easily falling into a theatre presentation. It's faux exterior of characters reveal a wandering group who are wily, raunchy, bold & obscene. The flagrant pompousness of the leading male characters were fairly interchangeable, each fictional individual created to mimic another non-fictional character in a place [...]

    3. The book I read was "THE BOHEMIANS MARK TWAIN and the SAN FRANCISO WRITERS who REINVENTED AMERICAN LITERATURE". Not the book shown. A wonderderful story about three writers Mark Twain, Bret Harte and Charles Warren Stoddard. With Poet Ida Coolbrith. Tells of thier rise and fall from fame and rise again. Very well writen and entertaining story.

    4. Una novela de sarcasmo puro que no se entiende sin las magníficas notas de Robert Darnton. Algunos toques de desfachatez sexual libertina, mucha burla a los "bohemios" escritores pre Rev Francesa. divertida si uno es especialista.
