    1. Overall Rating: A+Synopsis: Ichigo Kurosaki sees ghosts, and fightsa lot. All of this is pretty normal for Ichigo, but then he meets Rukia Kuchiki, a Shinigami (Death God) and member of the mysterious Soul Society. When a Hollow, an evil spirit, attacks Ichigo and his family, Rukia attempts to defeat the Hollow, but is wounded. To help him save his family, she lends Ichigo some of her powers, but something goes wrong, and Ichigo absorbs every last drop of her energy. Ichigo becomes a temporary S [...]

    2. Bleach Volume 5 ReviewManga Rating: 5 stars out of 5. Story Line: 5 stars out of 5. Ichigo ponders over why Uryu said he hates soul reapers. Ichigo ends up following him. He does wonder how he knew. Uryu tells him that he could sense Ichigo's spiritual pressure. Ichigo isn't really that great at sensing it. Uryu challenges Ichigo to a contest. He wants to see which one of them is better. He baits hollows into coming into the human world. Ichigo is actually really against it at first because he d [...]

    3. Of all Ichigo's friends, I think Sado is probably the one that I can hardly give a damn and his story with the parakeet wasn't exactly mind blowing

    4. So this volume is all about Uryū Ishida and learning about the Quincy clan. I love his character. He's a bit of a butthead in this one but he gets better. I love the Quincy clan and wish we could get more about them as they just seem so freaking awesome. Though in this volume we also get to see Chad and Orihime awaken into their powers. Which is cool, Chad is freaking awesome and I've accepted at this point that Orihime isn't going anywhere. No matter how much I wish a freaking Hollow would eat [...]

    5. I picked up this book, because I realized that I liked reading manga after I'd read one at Barnes&Nobles. I chose this book in particular, because I had heard of the TV show, but I could never seen to find time to watch it. Since I started reading this series from this particular book and not book 1, at the beggining I had to use context clues in order to figure out what had previously happened. It was pretty easy to figure out what had led up to the events. While reading I liked the fact th [...]

    6. In this volume Ichigo has met a quincy, a clan that kills hollows instead of cleansing them. The quincy challenges Ichigo to a game, whoever kills the most hollows claims superiority. This puts many of Ichigo's friends in danger, which this volume focuses on. Many of the characters that have been hanging around suddenly become very interesting in these chapters as they discover their powers.I really enjoyed this volume. It is super action packed even though Ichigo is hardly in it at all. I can't [...]

    10. AHH Chad, you da best. Seriously, I want him to be my friend. I also have a feeling that the Quincy dude is going to become friends with Ichigo. Not sure how I forgot his name so quickly.

    11. Two characters get there new powers. We meet a new character that goes up against our hero Ichigo. Lots of good character development in this volume

    12. Read in: November 2012 and November 2016.So, we learn that a Quincy is an extinct clan that fought Hollows 200 years ago. The differed in idealogoy from Soul Reapers (they didn't believe in cleansing the Hollow, but in just destroying it) and this division led to their downfall. It is not yet clear why Ishida hates Ichigo so much, but we do begin to understand the history behind it. Ishida was able to sense Ichigo's power from the first time he saw him and has known exactly when he started becom [...]

    13. The frustrating thing about this series is that everything can be going so well and I'm enjoying it and then out of nowhere, "BAM!" something absolutely ridiculous happens and I'm just left to facepalm in shame. This volume in itself was very strong. Partially because we didn't have much Rukia or Ichigo at all, which seems anti-initiative but since I like all the minor characters and groan at the mains' idiocy it was great! As pathetic as it sounds, I liked seeing Kon out in Ichigo's body even if [...]

    14. *5 Stars*Review of Volume 1New Character of Interest: Uryu Ishida - A fellow classmate of Ichigo's, he revels that he is a Quincy, a group of humans that are able to use spiritual pressure to destroy Hollows. Angry at the Soul Society for a personal loss, he challenges the substitute Soul Reaper to a contest, putting the whole of Karakura Town at risk.*The Gush*This is an action-packed volume. Urahara returns with his seemingly endless fount of knowledge, while Chad gets pulled into the world of [...]

    15. This volume continues the introduction of Uryū Ishida. Man, I hate this guy. Luckily, his storyline is more of a skeleton to this volume. The meat of the manga involves characters who have been minor until now. I really enjoy all these side characters so I was excited to see them emerge in larger roles. There is a significant amount of character development taking place and I’m left to wonder where it all may lead.I particularly enjoyed the story surrounding Orihime Inoue and Tatsuki Arisawa. [...]

    16. The title of the fourth book, "Quincy Archer Hates You," should really have been the title of this one, with some revisions: perhaps "Quincy Archer Hates You and All of Karakura Town" would be better. Honestly, as much as Ishida tries to spin it, he basically puts every single innocent and soul-sensitive person in this town in grave, immediate danger, and pretty much acts like a petty tyrant. I'm glad he mellows out and even becomes likeable later, but honestly this volume brought back why I dis [...]

    17. The name of the book is Bleach, Right Arm of the Giant and the author of the book is Tite Kubo. The genre of the book is adventurous, Fiction, Fantasy, etc. I chose this book because I read all 4 books of Bleach and I liked it so I read the 5th one, this book. The story takes place in a town called Karakura. Ichigo a soul reaper and his friend Chad are facing a deadly invisible enemy who was a serial killer in the past. They have to save a little boy's life and send the invisible monster called " [...]

    18. Bleach, Volume 5: Right Arm of the Giant is better than the last volume, but not quite as good as the first three. In this volume, we are introduced to Uryu Ishida and the history of the Quincies. There is a lot of Hollow action because Ishida stupidly insists on a cockfight with Ichigo and unleashes a horde of Hollows. Oddly, Ichigo and Ishida then disappear from the rest of the volume as the focus shifts to Ichigo's friends. In the ensuing battle with the Hollows, we discover that Ichigo isn't [...]

    19. First things first, I think Uryû was stupid for scattering the hollow bait.Just sayin'.I figured it from the beginning that Chad and Orihime would come in again with bigger roles than before, but I didn't know exactly what their powers would be.It seems almost stalkerish how Kisuke appears out of nowhere at the weirdest moments, and technically he KIDNAPPED Orihime and Chad!!Chad's past seems very sentimental, and in a way I'm glad he got armor for his arm, (heh, arm? Armor? Get it? Okay never [...]

    20. Bleach vol. 5 Summary: RIGHT ARM OF THE GIANT. Ichigo Kurosaki thought that Soul Reapers were the only ones hunting Hollows, but he was wrong. Enter Uryu Ishida, a Quincy, and possibly the last member of a powerful clan that died out over 200 years ago. Unlike Soul Reapers who strive to cleanse the Hollows of their sins and send them to the Soul Society, Quincies adopt a more direct approach - they kill Hollows without hesitation. To demonstrate the supremacy of the Quincies' ways, Uryu challeng [...]
