    1. New Korugar is going to explode soon and Sinestro doesn't seem to go. Eventually after enough whining from Soranak he reveals his plan. Sinestro has advance knowledge the Green Lantern Corps is going to disappear and starts moving chess pieces in place to take advantage of the power vacuum. He wants the Sinestro Corps to take over policing the universe. Then Lobo steps in for a few issues. Sinestro hires him to take out the other color lanterns. I'm not sure how this Lobo ties in with the tradit [...]

    2. The solicitation material for this trade said that it collected up to issue 18, however it actually contains Sinestro #12-15, and then Lobo #10-11 and Annual #1. Hooray once again for DC getting things totally backwards.Anyway.The story opens with Sinestro being his usual Sinestro self and acting like an ass to his daughter, whilst manipulating everyone around him into revealing who the traitor is that set the reactor at the centre of Necropolis/New Korugar to explode. Surprisingly, it's exactly [...]

    3. When Sinestro is actually featured in this volume named after him everything is great. He continues to be a compelling character building his power base to push through his own agenda -he will seem very familiar to anyone who follows politics to any degree at all. That said, so much of this book has very little to do with our favorite purple-faced tyrant. Instead, you get a lot of the New 52 Lobo. And I mean a LOT. Despite being one of the most ill-conceived ideas of the entire New 52 reboot, DC [...]

    4. Another very solid entry in this surprising series.World: The art is okay, the power of Sinestro is well illustrated and the facial expressions are good, solid. The world building is also very strong, this is surprising giving readers a glimpse into the part of the GLU that is Sinestro's. I like how it's building towards the bigger GLU but it also helps the story for this series to exist. Solid.Story: The story is good. I did not expect to like this series but it's well written and the drive of [...]

    6. 3.5 StarsThe story, while a short one, bridges the gap and sets up the next Volume. The Green Lantern Corps has disappeared (see Green Lantern Corps: Edge of Oblivion). Sinestro sees this as his opportunity to set up the Yellow Lanterns as the new patrolling police force, but first he has to stop New Korrigar from exploding! Saving his daughter, Soranik Natu, by making her a member of the Sinestro Corps, as well as recruiting new members (including an attempt on Lobo) has people worried as the pl [...]

    7. I want to give this 4 stars, especially for its long-view plotting of Sinestro recruiting one unique ally after another, but the ladies in their space-lingerie outfits turned me off. How come "turn off your brain, it's escapist sci-fi fantasy" only affects one gender? Then again, this book includes a good Lobo story. Lobo!

    8. Sinestro prepares for war and his peace as a gift to the galaxy. The addition of the New Lobo gives us a nice yin/yangLantern/Non-Lantern.I just wish we walked away knowing about this war.
